Frenship ISD is proud to announce Westwind Elementary kindergarten teacher Zachariah Vega has been selected as a distinguished educator and finalist for the Lubbock Christian University Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Congratulations to the Frenship ISD students who participated in the annual UIL contests Monday, November 8.

This week the Superintendent's Student Advisory Board met to create blankets that they will donate to Lubbock's University Medical Center to be used by patients in the Cancer Center.

Last Friday, Willow Bend Elementary invited more than 30 business leaders, first responders, and working community members to Career Day, where students could get a first-hand look at different career fields.

After preparing this years show "Icon" since early August, the hard work and dedication of the Frenship High School Marching Band has paid off. After winning the Area A Marching Contest last weekend the band is advancing to the UIL State Marching competition on Monday.

The Frenship High School chapter of the National Honor Society hosted its annual Trunk or Treat event last Friday - a district wide event for Frenship elementary and middle school students to attend, hosted by Frenship High School organizations.

The Frenship FFA is holding a coat drive to help provide comfort and warmth to those in need across the area during the winter months.

Students in Samantha Kay’s third grade class are currently learning about forces during their science class time, and last week students were faced with the task of building a bridge with only two pieces of paper.

The Physical Education (PE) gym at Crestview Elementary was transformed into a Halloween themed obstacle course this week so that students could enjoy something a little different during their PE specials period.

Earlier this week, seven different focus groups met to discuss and continue the 2021 Frenship ISD Strategic Planning process.
