About Willow Bend

Willow Bend Elementary is a Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade campus. We are both a Title I campus, as well as a bilingual campus. We currently have bilingual classrooms in Pre-K through 5th grade.

Willow Bend is a fairly new campus in Frenship ISD, opening in 2006.

We are also a "No Excuses University" campus.  For more information see NEU's website or watch our video.

No Excuses University is a network of elementary, middle, high school, and college campuses across the United States. These schools actively promote a comprehensive model of college readiness to all students the moment they begin elementary school.

Each No Excuses University campus works diligently to expose students to powerful college symbolism.  This symbolism is seen in the college posters and pennants in every room, felt through the close partnerships forged between classrooms and universities, and heard in the conversations and chants that exists in every grade level/hallway at Willow Bend.

There are Six Exceptional Systems within NEU that define unique solutions to important challenges that are documented and reviewed annually.  They are: *Culture of Universal Achievement, *Collaboration,  *Standards Alignment, *Assessment, *Data Management, and *Interventions.
