My name is Christen Crooks and I am a 3rd grade reading and social studies teacher here at Willow Bend!  This is my first year as a 3rd grade teacher, my 7th year at Willow Bend, and my 15th year teaching. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, and have been a reading interventionist. I have a passion for teaching and growing reading skills.

 

I grew up in Amarillo, Texas before moving to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University. I graduated from Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies and then again with a Master’s degree in Elementary Education.  I am married and have 2 wonderful boys here with me at Willow Bend!

 

I am excited to work with our Willow Bend 3rd graders this year!
