Mercedes Llanas joined the Willow Bend Family in August of 2020. She is a Proud Tiger for life, having attended Frenship ISD growing up. Throughout her years of teaching, she has taught PreK, Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade. Previously, she served as a teacher in Chicago and Los Angeles, before returning home to West Texas.

 

Mercedes received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. Go Irish! In 2020 she completed her MBA from Texas Tech University. Currently, she is pursuing a Principal certification through Lamar University with the intent to serve the Frenship Family through a bigger role in the future. 

 

In addition to teaching, Mercedes serves as the President of the Notre Dame Club of West Texas/Eastern New Mexico. She is also board secretary of the St. Cecilia Foundation, a local non-profit providing community outreach and support for those in need.
